Description
Co-sponsored by the Catholic Health Association in cooperation with Saint Louis University.
Drawing on her experience teaching Introduction to Social and Political Philosophy with an eye toward bioethics to students who are incarcerated, Yolonda Wilson, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Health Care Ethics at Saint Louis University will share how her students’ lived experiences in confinement shaped their perceptions of care and access to care, especially for chronic illnesses like diabetes. Dr. Wilson highlights how her students make meaningful connections on their own that fit nicely with some of the questions bioethicists grapple with every day.
