Relative to other groups for whom the risk of bias in artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare contexts has been identified, little attention has been given to the potential harms, and distinct benefits, that AI models could bring about for disabled people. In this talk we will canvas a number of risks, including underrepresentation, discrimination, and faulty constructs, before turning to discuss benefits, including the most promising: improving information about and connection to services that mitigate the health disparities faced by disabled people.
