Catholic healthcare is called not only to heal but to foster the flourishing of every person and community it serves. As societal, organizational, and moral challenges become increasingly complex, mission leaders are entrusted with advancing the enduring principles of human dignity and the common good in new and compelling ways. This four-part webinar series explores the development of these principles from Rerum Novarum to Magnifica Humanitas and considers their application in contemporary health care settings.   
 
Participants will:

• Reflect on the relevance of human dignity and the common good as articulated in Rerum Novarum and Magnifica Humanitas
• Consider how Catholic healthcare can more fully honor the dignity of the human person across the experiences of patients, associates, and communities
• Engage the moral imagination needed for discernment and decision-making
• Explore the role of advocacy in shaping policies that protect and promote human dignity

Through presentations, reflection, and town hall dialogue, participants will strengthen their ability to lead healing ministries that witness to Gospel values and honor human dignity and the common good. 

Session One  
Sept. 8 | 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET  
Human Dignity and the Common Good in Catholic Social Thought   
From Rerum Novarum to Magnifica Humanitas, this session will explore the development of the Church's understanding of human dignity, the common good, the value of work, and the leadership responsibilities these principles place on mission leaders today.

Session Two  
Sept. 15 | 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET  
Honoring Human Dignity Among Patients and Associates   
This session will apply Catholic social thought to patient care, spiritual accompaniment, and workforce well-being as commitments to Catholic healthcare's healing mission.  

Session Three  
Sept. 22 | 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET  
Discernment, Moral Imagination, and Mission-Centered Decision Making   
Cultivating the discerning disposition necessary to navigate complex challenges, this session invites mission leaders to apply moral imagination through timely, on-the-  
ground leadership scenarios. 

Session Four  
Sept. 29 | 1 to 2:30 p.m. ET  
Human Dignity, Public Policy and the Common Good   
Examining how public policy can strengthen or impede human dignity and human flourishing, this session will explore the role of mission leaders as advocates for vulnerable persons and communities through contemporary policy dilemmas.
