Climate change is increasingly affecting the health of communities across the United States. This Earth Day webinar will examine how rising temperatures are leading to more frequent and severe heat waves, wildfires, storms, and floods, events that pose growing risks to both physical and mental health.
Dr. Sheetal Rao, an internal medicine physician and assistant professor of clinical medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago, will discuss how these adverse weather events harm people and which communities are disproportionately affected. She will also share ways health care organizations can prepare to meet this growing threat to human health.
