This is a Member Only event.
The Catholic Health Association has been asked to convene a synodal conversation for those who serve the Catholic health ministry in support of the USCCB Laity, Marriage, Family Life, and Youth committee’s nationwide consultation process.
The objectives of these conversations are:
- To assist the U.S. bishops as they discover how the People of God understand their baptismal identity and the co-responsible mission of the laity within the Church and society.
- To gather information on challenges and best practices in formation and ministry identity.
In synodal conversations, all members of the group are committing to attend and expected to speak and to listen with intention. To prepare for the session, you may find it helpful to:
- Reflect on your baptismal identity (faith life) and its significance in your service to the Catholic health ministry and society.
- Consider your sense of co-responsibility for the Church's work and mission in your role.
- Identify moments where you have witnessed the Holy Spirit at work in your service.
- Contemplate the joys, hopes, and visions you have for the role of laypersons in the Church and society.
